Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is an FHI-360 implemented global health initiative project funded by United States Government (U.S.G) for the period of 2019–2027. The project receives Global Health Security funding to strengthen global, regional, and local public health systems, building on broad experience and existing capabilities that align with GHS priorities, National Action Plans for Health Security (NAPHS), and United States Agency for International Development goals. In Mozambique, EpiC will support the local government and relevant local stakeholders to enhance infectious disease response, surveillance, and risk communication and community engagement to respond effectively to the immediate health, safety and security needs of both countries. We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to be based in Maputo.
Job Summary:
The Senior M&E Officer will report to the Team lead and will be responsible for all monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities for Epic GHS. The Senior M&E Officer will ensure that data systems effectively capture project performance indicators and will analyze and report on these indicators. They will ensure the development, oversight, and implementation of the GHS performance management plan. The M&E Senior Officer will also collaborate with the technical staff to interpret and report on project results to stakeholders at all levels of the project. The role requires collaboration with project staff and implementing partners to strengthen MEL systems and enhance the quality of services provided. In close coordination with staff at the Ministry of Health (MOH), National Directorate of Public Health (NDPH) and INS, the Senior M&E Officer will also be called upon to support team members working with surveillance data based on MOH systems.
